Certificate as a Service (CaaS) History

The Certificate as a Service (CaaS) History page sits in the "Your Account" menu on our website. It lists every Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license in your ordering account, with its dates and current status.

Its main purpose is to give you the connection details your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client needs, so your SSL Certificates are issued and reissued automatically, without any further involvement from us.

What the Page Shows

Each entry represents one Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license. The product is named, along with the Certificate Authority (CA) that issues it, the order date, and the license start and end dates.

Alongside those dates you see the license duration and how much of the license period remains, together with a Trustico® order reference. This is your order number, and selecting it opens the order summary, where you can download the invoice.

Every license also carries a status, and the list can be filtered and sorted by it.

What Each Status Means

When a license request is submitted for processing, the status reflects what we have received back about it. Awaiting Data means the result is not known yet, because the information has not finished syncing from the Certificate Authority (CA) or our own systems. This updates on its own once the license has been validated and completed.

Valid means we have received data confirming that the SSL Certificate license was created correctly.

The remaining statuses describe where an active license stands over time. Expiring means it is getting close to its end date, and Expired means that date has passed. Abandoned means it has been expired for more than 30 days and is no longer of any use.

Inactive means the license has been deliberately turned off, which only happens now and then and for a range of reasons.

Connecting Your ACME Client

The core of this page is the set of credentials that connect an Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client, such as Certbot or acme.sh, to your Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license. Learn About Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) Clients 🔗

Each entry shows four values, exactly as they appear on screen : the ACME Account ID, the ACME Server URL, the EAB Key ID, and the EAB MAC Key. A Copy link sits beside each one, so you can paste it straight into your client configuration.

The last two are your External Account Binding (EAB) credentials. Once all four are in place, your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client requests, installs, and reissues your SSL Certificate automatically for as long as the license remains active. Treat these values as sensitive, in the same way as any other key, because they allow SSL Certificates to be issued against your license.

Extending a License

When a Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license can be extended, an Extend link appears beside its status. The link opens the product ordering page with the Extend option already selected and your ACME Account ID filled in, which saves you time.

You can also go to the product ordering page directly and extend the license by entering the details yourself. An ACME Account ID is a string of letters and numbers that can be up to 32 characters long, so using the link, or copying and pasting the details, is quicker and makes a mistake less likely.

Extending continues the license, so your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client can keep issuing SSL Certificates without interruption. The link appears only while the license remains eligible, so it is worth acting before the license period ends.

Management Without the Tracking System

A Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license is not managed through the tracking system. There is nothing to log in to, because your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client handles issuance, installation, and reissue on its own.

The only reference shown on this page is your Trustico® order number, which links back to your order. You do not need anything from here to manage the SSL Certificate, as your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client takes care of all of it. Dates and Monitoring

The license start and end dates are shown on this page, so you can see how long each Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license remains active.

The validity of the individual SSL Certificates is handled by your Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client, which reissues each one well before it expires. We still recommend confirming what is actually being served on your own servers, because hands-on management of your own security is the direction the regulation changes are taking. Where Traditional Licenses Appear

Traditional SSL Certificate licenses are not shown on this page. They are listed separately and are managed in the tracking system rather than through an Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client. Learn About Traditional SSL Certificate History 🔗
